Physical Gaming Concept

In the last 20 years, there have been vast improvements on gaming. From using actual laser guns to some of the most outstanding graphics ever seen.

However, no matter how many different controllers and graphics were implemented, there was still the same limitation of what I call the "Screen and keyboard" limitations. Which is essentially where you are limited in interaction by the controller, as you have to be stationary, or stay within a few yards of the screen.

Wireless controllers eased this a little, which led to the Nintendo Wii.

The Nintendo wii was great, they had the wireless controllers, gesture and movement recognition and fast responses which added a new level of interaction to gaming.

I intend to go a step further with this, and add in a position tracking element.
Essentially, i want to make a simple shooting game where your opponents can shoot at you, and you shoot at them. But if you hide behind your couch or bookshelf, you can still get shot at, but they won't be able to hit you.

I call it "Physical Gaming", Concept sketches and function overview will be posted soon...
